Install Xposed Framework on BlueStacks 4
Before mMagisk Modules were a thing, the mods offered by the Xposed Framework were the go-to tweaks for every rooted user. It offers a plethora of tweaks across numerous domains. While some lets you optimize the device’s performance, UI, and battery, others made it possible to add features to your device that wasn’t possible in the stock environment.
And now you could take all this a step further. You could try all these Xposed Framework tweaks on the BlueStacks 4 emulator itself. Just keep in mind that there are a few extra steps that we need to carry on. These include the randomization of the IMEI number as well as the Android ID on your BlueStacks Player. So please follow the instructions very carefully.
Prerequisites
- This method does not work on BlueStacks 4.40 and above. So make sure you are running a build earlier than 4.40. Here are the links from where you could download some of the earlier versions of this emulator.
- BlueStacks 4.230.0.1103 (64bit) / (32bit) (Android 32bit, Nougat 7.1)
- BlueStacks 4.220.0.1109 (64bit) / (32bit) (Android 32bit, Nougat 7.1)
- BlueStacks 4.220.0.4001 Download (Android 64bit, Nougat 7.1)
- You will also have to root your BlueStacks 4 Player. If you haven’t done so, refer to our guide on How to Root BlueStacks 4 and Install SuperSU 2.82 and SU Binary.
- Next up, download the BlueStacks Tweaker. It will provide the necessary environment for the installation.
- Download the Xposed Installer 3.1.5.apk. It will help you in carrying out the installation of the Framework.
- Download the Android Device ID file as well. It will provide you the necessary information like the Android ID and IMEI number.
- Finally, download the Xprivacy Pro 3.6.19.apk file. This will help you in randomizing certain components of the emulator.

Xposed Framework Installation Steps
- Launch the BlueStacks player on your PC. Click on the overflow icon situated next to the Installed apps option and select Install APK.
- Navigate to the Xposed Installer 3.1.5.apk file and select it.
- Again head over to the Install APK section and this time select the Xprivacy Pro 3.6.19.apk file. Do the same for the Device ID app as well, You should now see all the three apps on the home screen of the Emulator.
- Extract the contents of the BlueStacks Tweaker app and launch it.
- Then head over to the Helpers section of BlueStacks Tweaker and click on Patch. When it is done, you should see the Patch: True message at the bottom bar.
- Launch the Xposed Installer on your BlueStacks player and then tap on the Version number. In the subsequent dialog box that appears, click Install.
- Once that is done, Xposed will open. You will get a SuperUser request, click on Grant.
- The installation process will then begin and after completion, close the Xposed app as well as the BlueStacks player.
- Launch the BlueStacks Tweaker, go to its Main section and click on Force Kill BS. This will close the background services of Bluestacks.
- When that is done, click on Start BS to open the Bluestacks player.
- Open the Xposed Installer app, click on the hamburger menu situated at the top left, and select Modules.
- Tickmark the Xprivacy Pro module and you will then have to restart the player. For that, close, the player and then launch BlueStacks Tweaker, click on Force Kill BS followed by Start BS.
- When Bluestacks launches, open the Xprivacy Pro module and go through the welcome screen. Then click on the overflow icon situated at the top-right and select Settings.
- Now scroll to the Randomize Now button and click on it.
- Go to the IMEI section and enter a random value. For this tutorial, we will be entering 1234567890. Then click on the Save icon situated at the top-right.
- Now under the Check to restrict section, select the Device ID field. Likewise, make sure you check the second red highlighted section (it will display a question mark), as shown in the below screenshot:
- Then close the Xprivacy Pro module and launch the Device ID app. Deny all the permissions that it asks for (yes, deny them as they aren’t required as of now). Scroll to the IMEI section and you should see the new randomized number
- Again launch the Xprivacy Pro module and you will see both the section of Device ID selected. Untick the left one and you will get a Clear All popup, click on OK. Then uncheck the second one as well.
- Go to its Settings page and head over to the Randomization section. This time, you will have to randomize the Android ID. Enter any value of your choice and hit the Save icon situated at the top right. For this tutorial, we will be using 010101010.
- Next, retick the left section of the Device ID and close the Xprivacy Pro module.
- Finally, launch the Device ID app and you should see the newly Randomized Android ID as well.
